Our history
URBS began in 2019 by connecting Swedish energy expertise with international projects.
We quickly learned that technology alone is not enough. Successful energy infrastructure also requires engineering, finance and local delivery to work as one system.
Today, URBS integrates these capabilities to develop resilient energy infrastructure for buildings and portfolios, campuses and districts, and specialized high-demand facilities.

Sweden has decades of practical experience with district heating, heat recovery, efficient buildings and energy infrastructure planned across buildings and districts. This has created a strong systems perspective: looking beyond individual technologies to understand how energy is generated, distributed, recovered and used across a wider network.
URBS brings that perspective into international projects. We combine Nordic technical expertise and supplier networks with local knowledge, codes, market conditions, delivery teams and financing structures — adapting the approach to each project rather than exporting a fixed template.
